About Keno Terrific
This dog is currently out of state but will be transported to New England shortly with no additional travel costs. The long distance adoption process includes talking to the foster they are living with in the south. Roughly 90% of our dogs are successfully long distance adopted and 10% adopted locally. **Please read Keno Terrific's entire profile, which includes a link to the adoption application at the end. Thank you!** Meet Keno Terrific, a 7-month-old (as of 2/23/26) Dachshund/Bulldog mix, weighing 30 pounds (as of 1/15/26). While Keno was surrendered locally in Mississippi with his Terrific brothers, he's excited to meet his future family in New England! Look at those eyes! You can't say no to Keno! Handsome and loving Keno is a sweet soul that loves to play but will also enjoy cuddling up at bedtime with his humans. It's the best of both worlds to Keno! Just like his brothers, Keno is as adorable and as friendly as it gets. Honestly, if you're weak-willed, he might just manipulate you into doing his bidding by giving you those puppy dog eyes. But don't be embarrassed. We just call that Keno Charisma! Keno would be great with families who have dogs or cats as he has experience with both. While he's never met a child, he's sure to also find way to use them to do his bidding. What's better than an adult-sized human? A pint-sized human with nothing to lose! So keep those treats coming, baby! Keno knows commands like "sit," "stay," and "stop!" He also does well with crates and leashes. Keno does get a little car sick if the ride feels like the death drop on a rollercoaster, so he hopes his future family drives with care. This boy's precious cargo after all! If you ever decide to leave the house after years of the hermit life, Keno will howl a song of sorrow at your departure, but after a few minutes, he'll realize there's no fun singing without a captive audience and will calm down and patiently wait for your return. Since Keno currently lives inside a dedicated pet area, (aside from when it's cold, then he's brought inside the home), he'll need a loving and patience family to help him adjust to potty training in your home. But once again, he'll use his Keno Charisma to keep you smiling all day long. What are you waiting for? Adopt Keno today! All dogs are up to date on vaccinations and spayed/neutered at the time of adoption. All dogs require professional training to become the best family member they can be. The dogs are usually mixes of many breeds, making them a breed all their own - a True and adorable American MUTT. If you are interested in this dog, you must submit an application.
