Apollo
AvailableApollo is a large, adult neutered male Mastiff/Boxer mix in Cleveland, TN. His vaccinations are up to date, giving peace of mind to his future family. Apollo has a caramel and tan coat and has always lived with his brother Zeus, to whom he is very bonded. Their next home should be cat-free and offer ample space to unwind and play.
About Apollo
Apollo isn’t for just anyone—he’s particular about his friends and doesn’t tolerate small dogs at all. He’ll need a home without small children, and teenage or older kids who can respect his space would be best. Apollo is bonded to his brother Zeus; they’ve never been apart and need to be adopted together, with one adoption fee covering both. New situations, people, and touch make Apollo anxious, so expect a slow adjustment, especially to a busy household. He does warm up once he trusts you and, while he’s shy at first, his affectionate nature does come through with time. Shelter life has been stressful for him, so a stable, patient, and calm environment is essential. Apollo can get frustrated easily if pushed or overwhelmed, and he’ll need positive ways to burn off his energy, preferably in a home with room to run and opportunities to decompress. He’s never learned to live with cats and needs a feline-free environment. If you already have a dog, you’ll need to bring them in for a meet-and-greet—he’s choosy about canine company and won’t accept smaller breeds. Apollo and Zeus are both good boys at heart for someone willing to invest time and understanding. Ready to fall in love? Hit apply and lets get started.

Questions about Apollo
What type of living environment is this breed usually best suited for?
Apollo is a Mastiff/Boxer mix and does best in a stable home with a yard or plenty of space. These breeds appreciate calm and structure, especially if there aren’t small pets or young children around.
How much outdoor space does this breed typically need?
A Mastiff/Boxer mix like Apollo does best in a house with a securely fenced backyard. They need room to move, run, and burn energy daily.
Is this breed typically suitable for homes with children?
Apollo’s mix can do well with older children who respect boundaries. He is not suitable for homes with small kids, so households with teens or adults are better matches.
