About Mina

Click apply to start the adoption process. Mina is a playful and bright girl who is always ready for a good time! Estimated to be about 8 months old, Mina brings happiness and curiosity wherever she goes. Though she missed out on some early socialization, her foster home has been a perfect place for her to blossom and gain confidence as she learns about the world around her. At about 25lbs and likely fully grown, she’s the ideal size for someone seeking a medium, energetic companion. Her journey began in a remote area, where she and her sister were found and rescued before being fostered by dedicated volunteers. After some love and care, Mina has become a yard romping, friend-making pup who thrives on gentle affection—and she’s known to share sweet kisses with lucky friends! She needs a patient family committed to continuing her training and building her confidence. Mina is especially comforted by having canine companions, so a home with a friendly, confident dog would be ideal for her growth and happiness. She gets along well with dogs of all sizes, though her playfulness matches best with energetic pals rather than senior dogs. Mina has also shown she can coexist peacefully with dog-savvy cats, livestock, and even a giant tortoise, making her a great fit for a farm lifestyle. Due to her shyness, a home with children over 10 is recommended. She’s making impressive progress with housetraining and sleeps peacefully through the night with her foster siblings. Mina can keep herself entertained in a secure, fenced backyard during the day, but as she’s clever enough to climb fences, supervision is important until she’s fully bonded and settled in. With patience and continued support, Mina will shine as a loyal and joyous companion. The Yolo County SPCA is a private, foster-based rescue, so all animals, including Mina, await adoption in loving foster homes. Their adoption fees help cover important veterinary care for pets like Mina, ensuring they are spayed/neutered, microchipped, and properly vaccinated before joining their new families. They are waiting with paws crossed! Apply now!
