AvailableAbout Juneau
Juneau is a special young dog searching for a home with patience, experience, and a steady routine. At about a year old and already fully grown at 60 lbs, Juneau thrives on treats, gentle company, and canine friendships. She started life on the streets and came into rescue as a shy puppy—she's since made real progress in foster care, but will always lean toward the bashful side with new people or environments. Juneau adores a calm household where she can cuddle on the couch or shadow you during daily routines. She loves to play and is particularly at ease with other dogs; having a confident canine buddy is a big plus for her. She lives with dog-savvy cats, although her playful spirit means she may be too much for nervous felines. Juneau is more comfortable with teenagers than with very young children. This girl is both crate- and house-trained, happy to relax in her crate overnight or during work hours. Juneau does best in a quiet neighborhood with a backyard. She'll be your personal home alarm but never your party host—she’s all about loyal companionship, not big crowds. Large-dog experience, especially with shy or cautious dogs, is highly preferred for her future family. If you can give Juneau time and gentle guidance, she’ll return it in spades.
