About Acorn
Click apply and let the tail-wagging begin! Meet Acorn, a vivacious and spirited small Wirehaired Terrier estimated to be born in 2021, weighing around 17.5 lbs. This energetic boy thrives on outdoor adventures, from romping in the yard to exploring new sights with boundless enthusiasm. True to his terrier roots, Acorn is athletic and full of life, happiest when he can play and channel his curiosity. He loves the company of other dogs he's properly introduced to, but he's not suited for dog parks and will not be matched with homes that have cats, as he finds them far too tempting. Acorn has been learning crate up and sit during his stay, and his leash manners continue to improve. You'll find he's best as the king of his castle. Due to his needs, a securely and visibly fenced yard is a must, and sturdy, safe crate options are required—wire or soft-sided crates are not accepted. Potential adopters should live in Western Washington or possibly Northern Oregon, as out-of-state adoptions aren't considered at this time. Homes with private-use fenced yards may qualify, but apartments are not suitable. R.E.D. also requires that adopters meet Acorn in person in his foster location in Poulsbo, WA, and homes with young children are not preferred for this terrier. Acorn is already neutered, vaccinated, and microchipped. Acorn is in the care of Rescue Every Dog, a non-profit organization dedicated to saving and supporting companion animals on their way to forever homes. Ready to give Acorn the kingdom he deserves?
