Born alongside her sister Salt and lovingly raised by their Catahoula Leopard Hound mama, Pepper is expected to be about 20 to 25 lbs when fully grown. She has an excellent sense of her surroundings, easily finding her food and water bowls and moving in and out of her secure yard for potty breaks. Pepper needs a special adopter who can guide her primarily through touch and ensure she enjoys a safe environment filled with toys, since her blindness makes her prefer oral play. She has a healthy appetite, good energy, and demonstrates the playful spirit of any young, healthy pup. While it's unclear if she has any hearing, Pepper’s cheerful nature and zest for life continue to shine through each day. She will be receiving her vaccine update in early May and is scheduled for spay surgery soon, setting her up for a wonderful start in her new home. This could be the start of something paw-some.
