This sweet kitten has tested positive for Feline Leukemia Virus (FeLV), which can affect her life expectancy and is contagious to other cats. Because of this, she needs to go to a home where she'll be the only feline, or where any other cats are properly vaccinated for FeLV. Apple Jacks is very friendly and has done well with both dogs and other cats in her foster home. She’s also a great candidate for a family with children. Food is a highlight for her—she enjoys both wet and dry varieties. According to her foster, Jackie is very playful, affectionate, and loves to explore her environment. She enjoys being petted and doesn't mind being picked up or held, though her attention is often caught by new sights and toys. She’s using the litter box reliably, and the rescue recommends starting her out in a smaller room to help her settle in smoothly. Apple Jacks has received all age-appropriate vaccinations, a general dewormer, monthly parasite prevention, is microchipped, and has been spayed.
