About Chili Dog
Start your journey together! Apply now. Meet Chili Dog, a petite and pretty two-year-old lady who was found with her siblings as strays. While her siblings were able to remain safely outdoors, Chili Dog experiences chronic upper respiratory issues that require an indoor, low-stress environment; her symptoms tend to flare up with stress, so a peaceful home is a must. She's not a lap cat, nor will she likely seek out snuggles, but her gentle presence, playful spirit, and curiosity shine through. You'll rarely find her hiding—she’s active, playful, and enjoys wet food, especially tuna (the true key to her heart!). Chili Dog is known for her "mean mug" face, but with patience and trust, she’ll come out of her shell and absolutely loves gentle petting. She would likely thrive in a home with another friendly cat for company, as she enjoys feline companionship and loves to play. While her grooming skills aren’t perfect, she allows gentle brushing during mealtime to keep her coat in check. With proper transitioning and slow introductions, she uses the litter box reliably and would make a wonderful addition to a home ready to move at her pace. She is spayed, up to date on all her vaccinations, dewormed, and microchipped. You’ll receive a thorough medical history, microchip instructions, and support on managing her upper respiratory condition as she adjusts to your home. Pawsitive Cause is committed to making your adoption experience smooth, including covering any parasite treatment if needed after adoption. If you’re searching for a sweet, dignified, and playful companion who just needs a bit of patience, Chili Dog might be the perfect fit for you! Make their next chapter their best one yet.
