About Petey

Ready to meet your new best friend? Apply now! Meet Petey, an adorable male domestic short hair with a charming grey tabby and white coat. Petey came to the rescue as a young kitten and bravely overcame multiple health challenges, including receiving successful treatment for FIP, managing parasites, and having extensive dental procedures to address retained baby teeth and a painful dental malformation. While treating his dental issues, a nasal polyp was also resolved to help his upper respiratory symptoms. He now thrives on a fiber-rich diet to support his digestive health and is quite the foodie, enjoying crunchy dry food and being a bit selective about his wet food—especially loving the gravy variety! Petey’s personality is irresistible: he’s the most outgoing, loving, and friendly cat you’ll meet. Known for his affectionate and gentle nature, he gets along wonderfully with other cats and calm dogs, and even makes an excellent therapy companion. Petey visits schools for outreach and adores getting petted and napping with new friends, showing just how much he loves everyone. Thanks to his house training, he consistently uses his litter box and transitions easily with gentle introductions to new environments and animal companions. Petey’s adoption package is comprehensive; with his adoption, you’ll receive a copy of his microchip registration (which will be handled for you), all his medical records, resources about feline upper respiratory illnesses, and food samples to help with his dietary needs. Vaccinated, dewormed, microchipped, neutered, and thoroughly vetted, Petey is ready for his perfect fit family. The rescue team is committed to supporting you through a smooth adoption process and making sure Petey settles in comfortably. If you feel Petey will complete your family, you’re encouraged to start your journey together and make him a beloved part of your home. Every animal deserves a happy ending.
