About Thaddeus

Ready to fall in love? Hit apply and lets get started. Thaddeus is a calm and even-tempered young Black and Tan Coonhound with a wonderfully sweet nature. At about a year and a half old and weighing around 25 pounds, he offers an ideal combination of size and temperament, making him a great fit for a variety of households. Known affectionately as “a perfect angel” at his shelter, Thaddeus previously enjoyed life in a home, where he relished playing with other dogs and snuggling with his people. He walks beautifully on a leash, even when his hound nose is working overtime, and he approaches new environments with curiosity before settling into quiet play or a well-deserved nap. Thaddeus is a wonderful car companion, happily curling up for long drives and napping until it’s time for his next adventure. While in foster care, Thaddeus has comfortably slept through the night in a crate near the bed, though he’s always eager to join you if invited. His house training and leash manners have made great strides with consistent routine and gentle guidance. He’s a calm, well-mannered companion who gets along perfectly with his beagle foster sibling, enjoys treats and affection, and is a champ during bath time. Overall, Thaddeus is an “easy keeper”: affectionate, happy, and always eager to please. Fun fact—born on March 10, he’s a Pisces, renowned for being gentle and empathetic.
