About Henry

Meet Henry - A Little Dog with a Big, Resilient Heart Life didn't start easy for Henry. This brave little beagle mix came to us from a rural shelter alongside his three siblings, and while they bounced around playing, Henry often sat on the sidelines, watching. He wanted so badly to join in-but it was simply too painful. As his siblings began finding their forever homes, Henry's journey took a different turn. After a series of diagnostics, he was diagnosed with luxating patellas in both back legs and required surgery. Thanks to Freckles Foundation and his incredibly dedicated foster family, Henry received the care he needed and worked hard through rehab like an absolute champ. And now? Henry is thriving. In foster care, Henry is blossoming more each day, showing off his sweet, playful, and gentle personality. His confidence is growing, and he's even running around-faster than his foster siblings! Watching him enjoy life the way he always deserved is nothing short of amazing. Henry gets along beautifully with kids, dogs, and even cats. He's 100% house-trained, crate-trained, and an all-around well-mannered pup. Despite everything he's been through, Henry's spirit shines bright. He has a heart of gold, and you'd never guess the challenges he's overcome. Now, all Henry needs is his happily ever after-a loving home that will cherish him for the truly special soul he is. This dog is fixed, fully vaccinated, and current on preventatives. This dog's adoption fee is $550. Application for adoption: https://www.shelterluv.com/matchme/adopt/FRE/Dog If you are viewing on Petfinder/Adoptapet and cannot see photos or would like to apply for this dog please visit our website, www.frecklesfoundation.org. ***Note that puppy adoption fees most often help generate revenue that goes towards older, special needs animals that need our help. Surgeries, heartworm treatment, boarding costs....all things that often result in adoptable dogs and cats being left behind to be euthanized. So, adopting a puppy saves not just one life, but many! Puppies require an adopter who is home a good part of the day to continue their training! They are up-to-date on age appropriate vaccines and preventatives. Freckles Foundation & Animal Rescue cannot guarantee the exact age or breed of any animal in our care. The age and breed listed are based on information we may have been provided, and the appearance of the animal.
