Ziva is a 3.5-year-old female beagle mix with lots of energy to spare. She thrives in busy homes where there’s plenty of playtime—especially with other dogs and kids. Tag is her favorite, and she’s comfortable around children as young as five. Ziva has an affectionate nature, though she’s sensitive and a bit insecure, so a loving, patient adopter is a must. She gets along very well with dogs, but doesn’t do well with cats. With her pack, she does like to claim her own space or crate, and can be protective of those spots—but she remains friendly and gentle with people. Ziva loves a fenced backyard where she can run and sniff—being a beagle, if she slips out, she’ll be off exploring! She lets you know when she needs to go outside, is fully housetrained, and is only crated when needed due to being over-crated in her younger days. She’s always had someone home much of the time, so being left alone all day is new for her. Expect a round of howling at passersby; Ziva leans into her beagle roots there. She tends to bond especially with women and can act aloof around men. Her vaccines are current, and she’ll be spayed before adoption.
