Adagio and his siblings started life abandoned in a box in the cold, so he doesn’t take anything for granted, especially mealtime. He began as the tiniest in the litter but is now the biggest—a testament to just how much he loves food. Meal times with Adagio mean slow feeder bowls and careful pacing, or else he’ll try to help himself to everyone’s food. He’s treat-motivated, but honestly, it’s all about the snack, not the show. Sit, down, place, wait, look, NO, and leave it are in his repertoire, some more solid than others. "Gio" listens well, especially when there’s something in it for him. Car rides are easy. His leash manners need work—he’s a puller, but together you’ll get there. He’s crate trained and lets you know when he needs to go out. Raised in foster care and carried around a lot as a pup, he loves to cuddle but isn’t clingy. Adagio thrives in an energized home, especially with someone who commits to his ongoing progress. He mixes well with dogs of all sizes and will happily share food with his four-legged foster friends. Cats get a little extra attention from him, but it’s playful, never mean.
