About D'arce
D'arce, born October 27th, 2020—a textbook Scorpio—channels the loyalty and reserved nature of both German Shepherd and Chow Chow breeds. He's a big personality at home, devoted to his people, with a watchful wariness for newcomers. He’s fully potty and crate trained; he uses his crate as his private den and feels secure spending time there, door open or closed. D'arce enjoys a leisurely lifestyle with bursts of backyard play. Tug-of-war and fetch are his games of choice; just know he prefers to keep the ball, so have plenty of extras on hand. He’s impressively smart, having completed formal training and learned sit, down, stay, and leave it—anything for a treat. Social introductions can take time; he likes to come to new people on his own terms and isn’t one for forced affection. Letting him approach at his pace leads to the best connection. He’s happiest lounging with his trusted people and shines most in a stable environment. Meeting him more than once will help build the trust he needs to bond. D’arce requires a home with a secure backyard (fenced at least 6 feet) and any children should be over five. Your new best friend is just one click away.
