Athena is a 5 year old female Cane Corso . She was found at Hubbard Valley Park in Seville tied to a tree. I Athena weighs 85lbs. Athena walks nice on a leash. She can sit and give paw. She is a dog that you will not be able to come in and meet her and take her home. She will need several meet and greets to get to know you. She does not trust strangers. But Athena has made huge progress. We recommend a home with no children as she is very nervous around them. She is a no drama kind of girl. ****Update****** Athena is waiting for her right person.. I am so proud of how far she has come. She is now being walked by some of our volunteers. She is still shy with strangers and men. She is not the same dog that came in. She is more of a ladies dog but with time may learn to like men too. . She is very picky about her dog friends. She only likes one dog here at the shelter so a meet and greet is a must!!!! Dogs are available to meet before their adoption date. The Dog Shelter's adoption fee is $64 (cash or check). All dogs come with DHPP and Bordetella vaccines, microchipped, a current year dog license, and a certificate to be spayed or neutered (The Dog Shelter pays for it). If it is an owner surrender dog, more vaccine information may be provided. Our hours are Monday thru Friday 10AM-12:30PM and 1PM-4PM and Saturdays 10AM to 2PM. You must be present to adopt and have a current approved adoption application.
