About Marsh
What do you do with a boy named Marsh? It's a fair question. Marsh is still quite young, but he’s already a mountain of a dog—well over 100 lbs, all muscle and uncertainty. He is entirely untrained, and yes, if he jumps up, you will feel it. Despite his size, he has a sweet core and just wants a place to feel safe. His past left some scars both visible and not: abandoned alongside two other dogs, one of whom was hurt. No one here can say for sure how the fight started. Marsh’s head bears the marks, but since we can't risk another episode, he cannot be placed with other animals under any circumstance. Children, too, are out of the question, and not because Marsh means harm—he’s just so big that even a playful moment could end badly. Criticism of his situation has rolled in from every angle, but Marsh’s need remains unchanged: a quiet, stable home with no other pets or small kids. He deserves a gentle landing, not endless judgment. Marsh is looking for someone willing to see past the gossip and into the heart of an enormous, slightly battered soul who just wants to belong. Questions about Marsh
What type of living environment is this breed usually best suited for?
A dog like Marsh, a Cane Corso mix, is best suited to a home with plenty of space and a securely fenced yard. Apartments and small spaces are typically a poor fit for a dog of his size and energy.
How much outdoor space does this breed typically need?
Cane Corso mixes such as Marsh thrive with access to a yard or regular outdoor exercise. He needs enough space to stretch and move around comfortably.
Is this breed typically suitable for homes with children?
Marsh should not be placed with children due to his size and strength. Even Cane Corsos generally require careful introductions with older, dog-savvy kids.
