About Alistair
Alistair turned his photo shoot into a comedy show, tail wagging the whole time. At around 10 months old and about 47 pounds, he’s all legs, fluff, and enthusiasm. Expect a friendly shadow: Alistair wants to be wherever you are, jumping at any chance to play or snuggle. He thrives on interaction and picks up new routines fast. Alistair’s favorite game is fetch, and he’ll always bring the ball right back to you, looking for that next toss. Underneath all the energy beats the heart of a classic herding dog—he needs mental challenges and a human who isn’t afraid to set limits. He can be a little guarded with his food bowl, so ongoing training is important, especially trading toys and reinforcing good behaviors like "drop." Because of this, and his puppy antics, he needs to go to an adult-only home. Alistair is waiting for someone who understands herding breeds and wants to help him shine.
