Dog's Name: Babe Sunny (SUN0426ALAFD) Estimated Breed: Australian Shepherd mix Approximate Age: DOB 03/12/2026 Approximate Weight: 5 lbs Currently Living at: Foster Adoption Fee: $500 DOG'S DESCRIPTION: Meet Babe Sunny! Sunny is part of the adorable Weather Litter—four precious puppies named Ray, Sunny, Thunder, and Stormy. Their mom appears to be an Australian Shepherd mix and weighs only about 22 pounds, so this little family may stay on the smaller side. They were found in a crowded shelter in Alabama where adoptions were few and far between. Thankfully, they were rescued by K-9 Lifesavers and given the chance to find loving forever homes. Now safe in a foster home, Sunny is ready to find a family of her own. She is a typical puppy—sweet, loving, and playful—and she especially enjoys the company of other dogs. Sunny is at the perfect age for training and socialization, making this a wonderful time for a family ready to guide her as she grows. If you're ready to add a little sunshine to your life, Babe Sunny may be the perfect addition to your family! Your new pet will require a refresher in house-training. K-9 Lifesavers strongly recommends all new adopters enroll their new pet into obedience training. This provides for an easier transition into a new home, ensures the dog remains well socialized, and helps form a bond between the dog and the new family. Adoption fees cover basic vetting, rabies (if puppy is old enough), distemper/parvo vaccinations, deworming, monthly heartworm prevention while in our care (if old enough), monthly flea/tick prevention while in our care, and transport costs. K-9 Lifesavers will also cover the cost of spay/neuter at our partner vet at 6 months of age or reimburse adopter for up to the amount of our partner vet cost should you choose to spay/neuter at your own vet. Foster Program: Foster homes provide for the temporary care of a rescue until the dog is placed into a loving, forever home.
