Dog's Name: Babe Ray (RAY0426ALAMD) Estimated Breed: Australian Shepherd mix Approximate Age: DOB 03/12/2026 Approximate Weight: 5 lbs Currently Living at: Foster Adoption Fee: $500 DOG'S DESCRIPTION: Hi there! My name is Babe Ray, and I'm here to brighten your forecast! I'm part of the adorable Weather Litter (Ray, Sunny, Thunder, and Stormy). Our mom looks like an Australian Shepherd mix (picture included) but she's a tiny little thing at just 22 pounds, so we may stay on the smaller side too. We started our journey in a very crowded shelter in Alabama where adoptions were few and far between. Luckily, some amazing humans from K-9 Lifesavers rescued us and brought us to safety. Now I'm living in a loving foster home and dreaming about the day I find my very own forever family. Like puppies my age, I'm sweet, curious, playful, and full of love. I adore other dogs and would happily join a home with a canine buddy to romp around with. I'm also at the perfect age to learn all the important puppy things—training, manners, and lots of fun adventures with my new people. If you're ready to add some sunshine, tail wags, and puppy kisses to your life, I might just be the perfect little forecast for your family. Come meet Babe Ray and let's make every day a bright one together! Your new pet will require a refresher in house-training. K-9 Lifesavers strongly recommends all new adopters enroll their new pet into obedience training. This provides for an easier transition into a new home, ensures the dog remains well socialized, and helps form a bond between the dog and the new family. Adoption fees cover basic vetting, rabies (if puppy is old enough), distemper/parvo vaccinations, deworming, monthly heartworm prevention while in our care (if old enough), monthly flea/tick prevention while in our care, and transport costs. K-9 Lifesavers will also cover the cost of spay/neuter at our partner vet at 6 months of age or reimburse adopter for up to the amount of our partner vet cost should you choose to spay/neuter at your own vet. Foster Program: Foster homes provide for the temporary care of a rescue until the dog is placed into a loving, forever home.
