About Everly
Think you are the one? Submit an application! Meet Everly—affectionately known as Evie—a one-and-a-half-year-old Retriever/Australian Shepherd/Hound mix with a gorgeous brown coat who is eager to find her forever family. Evie is a vibrant and friendly dog who absolutely adores people, especially children, making her the perfect companion for an active household. She thrives on outdoor activities, whether it's hiking, running, or just lounging in the yard watching squirrels. Her high energy and playful spirit mean she'll keep you company on every adventure, and she's proven herself to be a quick learner with a love for new experiences. Evie enjoys a good night's rest, quietly sleeping in her crate for a solid eight hours, though she would be thrilled to snuggle beside you if permitted. She is house trained when kept on a schedule and gets along well with other dogs with proper introductions. While Evie has a high prey drive and does not get along with cats, she is well-mannered during meals and is happy to share her space. She is learning good leash manners using a harness and gentle leader. Her foster experience shows that she rides contentedly in the car as long as she has a cozy spot to rest. If you are looking for a sweet-natured, energetic, and loving dog who is great with kids—and you're ready to welcome a Tennessee beauty into your home—Evie could be the one! Fun fact: with her June 10th birthday, she's a Gemini, so expect double the fun and curiosity. Every animal deserves a happy ending. This one starts with you.
