About Abbey
Abbey is an 8-9 month old Catahoula mix who has grown up in a shelter but carries none of that baggage—she’s an easy presence and a steady joy around the house. Her short black and white/cream coat makes upkeep simple, and she stays tidy indoors. Housebroken and quiet at night, Abbey crates smoothly when her fosters are out, never causing trouble. She loves a good toy and keeps herself entertained, never turning to destructive habits even when left alone. Abbey fits right in with dogs of all sizes, getting along with everyone from tiny Chihuahuas to big 100-pound Shepherds, plus puppies and older dogs alike. She knows how to match energy levels and is both playful and respectful as the situation demands. Abbey also does well with cats and handles herself gently around kids. She listens closely and picks up training cues quickly, making her easy to guide for just about any adopter. Vaccinated and spayed, she’s ready to start her life outside the shelter. They are waiting with paws crossed! Apply now!
