🌟 Meet Maya – A Sweet, Loving Great Pyrenees Ready for Her Perfect Match 🌟 Maya is a beautiful 5-year-old female Great Pyrenees who came into her family as a rescue at just 1 year old. Once severely underweight and untrained from long hours in a crate, she blossomed into a fully trained, affectionate love bug thanks to patient owners who gave her the life she deserved. She’s friendly with people (meets strangers happily at dog parks, trails, and festivals), great with other dogs, and friendly toward other animals. Maya does wonderfully when left home alone, loves roaming the backyard, chasing balls, and hanging out with her people. She walks on leash (can pull toward other dogs because she loves to play) and has no known fears or anxieties outside of her current home situation. The reason for rehoming: Maya has shown some resource guarding and territorial behavior around a very active 10-month-old baby (one snip and one mouth-to-arm contact with no skin broken). The family has worked with trainers and tried management strategies, but with another baby on the way, they’ve made the heartbreaking decision that Maya needs a home without young children where she can thrive as the companion she truly is.
