Aurora is a 2-year and 3-month-old spayed female Great Pyrenees with a beautiful white and cream coat. She's currently in Shelby, NC. Her vaccinations are up to date, and she gets along well with cats and dogs. She would make a unique companion for someone familiar with her breed and with shy dogs.

About Aurora

Aurora is a very timid Great Pyrenees who came into the rescue without much human socialization. She absolutely loves being outdoors and will quietly follow someone around the yard, happy just to be alongside you. While she finds comfort in company, she isn't keen on being petted and will let you know that's not how she prefers to interact. Aurora is content to listen to your voice and enjoys a car ride once she's loaded up. Mobile grooming isn't an issue for her either. She sleeps inside in a crate, but it's important that other animals respect her space—she does not want to share her sleeping quarters. Outside the crate, she's gentle with dogs and puppies and tends to ignore the indoor cat. Aurora would do best in a quiet home, ideally with another playful dog and a securely fenced yard. She needs an adopter with large breed and non-socialized dog experience. Give her the space and patience she deserves, and she'll thrive in the right setting. Lets make it official, apply to adopt!
