About Nash
Make their next chapter their best one yet. Meet Nash! This lovable Australian Shepherd/Blue Heeler mix is about 3 years old and has overcome quite a bit in his journey to find a forever home. After a motor-vehicle accident left him with significant road rash, Nash received plenty of medical care and the extra TLC he needed, and he’s now healing beautifully. With a charming, smart, and playful personality, Nash quickly warms up to people he trusts—especially when toys are involved! He’s friendly, affectionate, and loves playful antics once he gets to know you, but he may be wary around unfamiliar men at first. Nash thrives on outdoor adventures and truly enjoys long walks. He’s house trained, non-destructive, and does well on a leash. Nash can be selective with other dogs, so a meet and greet is required if you already have a canine companion. Because he should be fed separately from other pets and doesn’t get along with cats or small animals, he’s looking for a home where he can be the only pet, or with a careful introducer. Older children suit Nash best. He comes neutered, microchipped, and vaccinated, ready for his new chapter. Swing by the Frederick County Esther L. Boyd Animal Shelter to meet this one-of-a-kind boy—you’ll be glad you did! Ready to fall in love? Hit apply and lets get started.
