About Queenie

Queenie is a roughly 6-year-old Boerboel who weighs around 110lbs—a true gentle giant with a big presence. She arrived at the rescue with Ozzie, a male Cane Corso, and they are a bonded pair, so ideally they'd find a home together. If they do end up adopted separately, Queenie will need another large, calm male dog in the home (no small dogs or cats, please). Life in the kennel has not been easy on Queenie—she's feeling the stress and really needs a calm home environment to decompress and feel comfortable. She forms strong attachments to her humans and dog companions and is both affectionate and sweet-natured. Out on walks, Queenie does well but she is undeniably strong, and her prey drive means she requires someone experienced with large, powerful breeds who can manage her physical strength. Expect lots of loyalty and love from her—she desperately wants things to feel normal again and would thrive in a home that understands and appreciates giant breeds. Queenie is spayed, up to date on vaccines, and microchipped. Her adoption fee is sponsored. Your home could be her soft landing—especially if you are looking for a loving, deeply bonded companion.
