About Bb
BB (known as Boss Babe) makes her presence known and thrives at the center of attention. At about a year and a half old, this shepherd/pittie mix has a big, lively personality and keeps everyone on their toes. She spent over three months in the shelter and is ready to devote herself to her new person. She may look serious at first, but that’s just a front; once comfortable, she’s playful and quick to engage, often using her wiles to push other medium- or large-sized dogs to play. She reads corrections well—if another dog tells her to back off, she recalibrates and either comes back more gently or switches her focus to her human. Interactions with small dogs are closely managed due to her rough-and-tumble play. BB is highly food- and praise-motivated, tolerates baths and nail trims with dramatic flair, and doesn’t fuss over birds. She’ll chase a running cat but doesn’t bother aloof or calm cats. BB is still learning to walk nicely on leash and can be strong and excitable on walks. She sometimes gets barky behind fences or in crates but tends to settle after a few minutes. While she’ll bark at people or dogs behind barriers, she’s easily redirected. She needs structure and a confident, experienced owner—BB is not a fit for first-timers. For someone who enjoys a smart, spirited dog with opinions and a lot of character, she’ll be a fun and rewarding project. Born October 4, BB is a balanced Libra: she’ll always keep you guessing, but she knows when to turn on the charm. Click apply to start the adoption process.
