Molly is the most afraid of the 6 new girls, but we're working hard to help he feel safe. All have now been placed in individual, loving foster homes for the one on one love and attention they will need to thrive. Molly is an adorable Chihuahua/Pug type mix and is a petite girl, probably around 10-12 pounds and maybe a year old. After some time to settle in and her vet exam, we may update these estimates. Six small female dogs were living in a crummy outdoor kennel and all were either pregnant or soon to be pregnant. We agreed to take all six in order to stop the cycle of reproduction and had planned to spay/abort immediately if possible. With the devastating overpopulation crisis, and so many unwanted puppies already born and breathing and waiting without hope, it's truly the kindest thing. One little mama actually delivered before getting on transport. She will raise her family in love and comfort in her Dogwood foster home, and then she and pups will be spayed/neutered and placed in loving homes, as will the other girls.
