About Abby
Abby is a 4-year-old Rottweiler weighing around 65 lbs with a loving, confident personality. She’s eager for attention—especially belly rubs—and truly thrives on quality time with people. Abby enjoys carrying her Jolly Ball, chewing on Kongs, and looks forward to daily walks. Her energy level is moderate; she may pull on the leash at first but calms down with enough exercise. Abby is completely housebroken, crate trained, and mat trained, and can be left alone for 4–5 hours during the day without issues. She even handles long car trips and hotel stays with ease, making her an adaptable travel buddy. Abby tends to be selective about her canine friends and warms up slowly to new dogs, preferring those with lower energy. She could be a fit in a patient multi-dog home or as the only dog. She hasn't spent time with cats and does best with older children. Abby is searching for a home with a fenced yard and an experienced adopter who enjoys training or engaging her brain with nose work games. She’s the type to soak up affection and would happily serve as a devoted lap dog for the right person. For Abby, adopters should ideally live within an hour of Cary, NC, though a longer drive will be considered for the perfect match if they're willing to meet her. Give Abby the loving home she’s waiting for. Click apply to start the adoption process.
