Meet Bun Bun (aka Bunny or “Benito”) — a loving, playful young dog with incredible potential Bun Bun is a 9-month-old, approximately 45 lb mixed breed with a personality just as adorable as his looks — from his soft black velvet face to his pink-lined ears and beautiful brindle coat. He is a dog who truly loves his people. Whether he’s dropping his ball at your feet for another round of fetch, gently carrying around his favorite bunny stuffie, or settling in for a cuddle while you rub his belly, Bun Bun thrives on connection and companionship. Personality & Energy Bun is an active, playful puppy who enjoys running, playing fetch, and engaging with his toys. After 30–60 minutes of activity, he settles nicely and enjoys a good nap. He offers a great balance of energy and affection. He would make an excellent walking or jogging companion, as he does well on leash and enjoys being active with his person. Training & Behavior Bun Bun is very smart, eager to please, and highly trainable. He has already completed a 3-week in-residence training program and continues to build on those skills in foster care. He is: * Housebroken (will signal at the door; occasional accidents as he continues to mature) * Crate trained (crated when left alone for safety due to curiosity) * Continuing to learn structure and boundaries Like many young dogs, Bun: * Can be reactive to other dogs at times (improving with proper, slow introductions) * Has mild separation anxiety that is improving with consistency * Can be mouthy and curious, which is typical for his age He did well with other dogs during training and is currently being introduced to dogs in his foster environment with promising progress. Ideal Home Bun Bun will thrive in a home that provides: * Structure, consistency, and continued training * An active lifestyle with daily exercise * A patient, committed adopter who understands young dogs He would do well in either: * A home with a fenced yard or * An apartment or home where he receives adequate daily exercise and enrichment The Bottom Line Bun Bun is a kind, affectionate, and incredibly promising young dog.
