About Lee

Lee is an American Bulldog mix with a striking brown and white coat and an unmistakable zest for life. Earlier this year, he was facing a grim fate in the shelter, but was given a second chance after being rescued just in time. He battled and beat pneumonia, thanks to prompt vet care and a loving foster family, and he’s emerged from it all with his spirit fully intact. Around three years old and about 70 pounds, Lee’s a big-hearted, friendly dog who believes every new person is a potential friend. People mean everything to him—he loves being nearby, whether it’s curling up on the couch or joining you for a walk. Toys bring him endless entertainment, but what really sets Lee apart is his attachment to his blanket, which he likes to tote with him any chance he gets, even on walks. House-trained and content to relax in his own space, Lee doesn’t need a crate—just a soft spot to call his own. He lives with an older dog in his current foster home and does well, and could do fine with another dog after slow introductions. His feelings about cats and young children aren’t known yet. Neutered and up-to-date on vaccines, Lee is looking for a stable, loving home in the Vassalboro, ME area. If you’re after a loyal, resilient, and playful companion, Lee could be the one.
