About Charlie
Charlie is a 7-year-old Wheaten Terrier and Poodle mix, affectionately referred to as a Woodle. He tends to be cautious at first, but once he trusts you, his goofy personality shines through. Charlie loves to sit in laps and soak up belly rubs. He gets along well with other dogs and is indifferent to cats. However, potential adopters should know that Charlie has a bite record stemming from a past incident where a small child accidentally stepped on his paw while he was napping. Because of this, we recommend a home without small children. He previously experienced anxiety around kids and has been prescribed Fluoxetine to help him cope. We believe he could thrive off this medication once in a stable home environment. Until then, we won't be weaning him off while he’s in the shelter, as it can be stressful here. We'll provide his medication upon adoption, which costs about $6 a month through Chewy if your vet recommends continuing it.
