About Leia
Click apply and let the tail-wagging begin! Meet Leia. While her history is a mystery, what's clear is that her journey is only getting brighter from here. This lovely four-year-old Basset Hound came into rescue very underweight and, based on her appearance, may have recently had puppies. Thankfully, Leia's appetite is strong, and she's thriving with the kindness of her foster family who ensures she's well-fed and cared for. Leia stands out for her beauty and especially her gentle, sweet nature, though she can be quite timid and skittish around new situations, people, and noises. Her timidness suggests she hasn't had much positive human interaction before now, but her foster mom is working patiently to show her the safety and warmth of a loving home, helping her slowly gain confidence every day. She truly adores other dogs and finds comfort in their company, making her ideal for a home with a friendly canine companion. Leia benefits from a calm environment and will need a securely fenced yard to let her explore and gain confidence at her own pace. Walks are a source of comfort for her, and she does well when she has a dog friend by her side. Leia is awaiting a full veterinary check and will soon be spayed to ensure her continued health. With love and patience, Leia is sure to become a devoted and wonderful companion. Lets make it official, apply to adopt!
