Please meet Tuffy! This stunning pup is in search of a permanent address to call his very own. Tuffy has been neutered, vetted, microchipped, and has received a clean bill of health from our vet. The last box for Tuffy to check off is to find a family of his own. Please read on for his story, and for instructions on how to request an application for him! Keep your eye out for his siblings listings as well! Here is what we know about TUFFY: - Tuffy is @ 7 months old now, and weighs about 50lbs. - Tuffy and his siblings were born in foster care. Mom is a husky, and dad is believed to be a German shepherd or German shepherd mix. These pups got the best looks of both breeds! - Both huskies and German shepherds are large dogs, so we full anticipate Tuffy and his siblings being at least 70+lbs full grown. - Tuffy is a happy, healthy, and rambunctious pup who will need a family up to the fun challenges of puppyhood! - Tuffy is very much still a puppy so he will need lots of training and reinforcements to learn proper doggy manners and behavior when he gets to her forever home. He is smart and eager to please, but his new family will need to have patience as he learns. - Tuffy is neutered, microchipped, up to date on vaccines, and has received a clean bill of health. - Tuffy currently lives happily in his foster home with other dogs and gets along just fine with them. We think he would do fine as an only dog, but he would love a playmate who could handle some puppy playtime! - Tuffy and his siblings have not been cat tested, but would likely do fine with a dog savvy cat who could tolerate some puppy antics! - Tuffy would make a great family dog for kids 6+ who won't be intimidated by his size and are old enough to understand doggy boundaries. - German shepherds are super smart, and husky's are notoriously stubborn escape artists, so a secure fenced in yard is a must for this boy, especially as he grows! - We would love Tuffy to go to a breed(s) experienced home who will be able to dedicate the time and patience needed to give this "teenaged" boy the foundation he deserves to thrive!
