About Huckleberry Finn

Come join in on some adventures of Huckleberry Finn! This fun pup is in search of a permanent address to call his own. Huck has been neutered, vetted, microchipped, and has received a clean bill of health from our vet. His brother ha already secured a new residence, so the last box for Huck to check off is to find a family of his very own. Please read on for his story, and for instructions on how to request an application for him! Here is what we know about HUCK: - Huck is @ 12-14 weeks old now, and weighs about 20lbs. - Huck and his brother Tom Sawyer were abandoned at foster mom's house as young pups. As such, we don't know a whole lot about their backgrounds or breed mash ups. Best guess based on personality traits and characteristics is that Huck is a shepherd mix boy. Perhaps some lab is in there as well with his short and smooth coat. There are likely multiple other breeds that make up this adorable pup too. - Best guess on Huck's full grown size would be medium-large, likely around 60lbs or so. - Huck is a happy, healthy, and rambunctious pup who will need a family up to the fun challenges of puppyhood! - Huck is very much still a puppy so he will need lots of training and reinforcements to learn proper doggy manners and behavior when he gets to his forever home. He is smart and eager to please, but his new family will need to have patience as he learns. - Huck is neutered, microchipped, up to date on vaccines, and has received a clean bill of health. - Huck currently lives happily in his foster home with other dogs and gets along just fine with them. We think he would do fine as an only dog, but he would love a playmate who could handle some puppy playtime! - There are also cats in Huck's foster home, and he co-habits well with them. Any dog savvy cats who wouldn't be scared of his size or puppy antics should be fine! - Huck would make a great family dog for kids 5+. He loves his 12 year old human sister, and would love to grow up in a family with built in kiddo playmates! - Huck does well in a fenced in yard, but he will need a family who can match his energy level as well with lots of walks and playtime. What we love about Huck: He is a love bug! Is Huck the one for you? If so, he's got his doggie bags packed and is ready to make his way home to you! His adoption fee is $400! That covers all of his vetting and care up until the point of adoption.
