Benny is a 2-year-old, 20-pound mixed breed looking for a stable, loving home to call his own. Benny’s journey hasn’t been an easy one. He was displaced during the LA fires and was being fostered by a young woman who ultimately left him with someone and never returned. Despite that instability, Benny has proven to be a resilient, sweet-natured dog who is ready for a fresh start. In the home, Benny is an easy companion. He is crate trained, mostly house trained, and settles well when left alone. He enjoys a relaxed daily routine—lounging in the house, going for walks, and ending the day with cozy couch time. He rides well in the car and walks nicely on leash. Benny has been neutral with other dogs and has done well around cats, making him a potential fit for a home with other pets. Once Benny knows you he enjoys being close to you, but like many dogs, he can feel a bit overwhelmed by young children. For this reason, his ideal home would be with children over 10 who understand how to interact respectfully with dogs, or an adult-only home. Overall, Benny is a gentle, loving dog who will thrive in a patient home that offers consistency and kindness. Once he feels secure, he becomes a loyal companion who enjoys both companionship and quiet moments at home. Ideal Home: • Children 10+ or adult-only home • Patient, calm environment • Open to allowing him on furniture (he loves couch cuddles!) Benny is ready to leave his past behind and start his next chapter with a family who will truly commit to him. Adoption Donation $250 Helps cover cost of neuter, vaccinations and chip.
