About Calliope
Calliope has spent three years waiting patiently for either a foster or permanent family to see her potential. She’s a 4-year-old Pointer and Labrador Retriever mix with about 60 lbs of enthusiasm and affection. Energetic and playful, Calliope lights up whenever she’s outside—she’ll make an outstanding companion for people who hike, run, or have a yard where she can race around. She’s thriving when active, but life in a kennel often leaves her overexcited, so she’ll benefit from consistent training and support to channel her bounce, especially around greetings. Because of her size and tendency to jump when excited, a home without small children is best: she could easily knock them down just being herself. On walks, Calliope does well with other dogs and would enjoy canine company. Cat compatibility hasn't been tested. She’s spayed, microchipped, and current on vaccinations. Ready for her own place and routine, Calliope just needs someone to help her settle in and flourish. What are you waiting for? Apply today!
