Hi, my name is Spanky, I’m a very sweet, lovable 2-year-old Pointer/Hound mix. My journey began in a small town where I faced the harsh reality of being abandoned by my family. Like many others in similar situations, I struggled to survive, and without access to food and water, my fate could have easily mirrored that of countless others who perished alone. However, I consider myself fortunate because a kind-hearted stranger chose to give me a second chance. Today, I am thriving and very happy, thanks to my loving foster mom. She believes in my potential and encourages me to find a family of my own. She knows I would make an excellent companion for an active family eager for adventures, and I would happily unwind on the couch with them afterward. I love playing with dogs and would do great in a new family that has a playful pup. I could do ok in a home with a cat that is dog savvy. I can’t wait to go on a hike with you and be your sidekick. (I also can’t wait to get out of Texas because people it is not too nice with dogs in here. It would make me the happiest pup ever if you adopted me!
