Rescued from the shelter alongside her presumed brother, Gold Mine (an Aussie Cattle Dog), this sweet, long-legged girl quickly captured the hearts of volunteers during intake—and she hasn’t stopped charming everyone since. From the moment she arrived in her foster home, Treasure settled in beautifully, showing off her gentle nature, quick mind, and lovable personality. She’s the kind of puppy who seems to understand the world around her, making her an absolute joy to live with. A Day in the Life of Treasure Treasure starts her day bright and early around 6:30am when her doggy foster siblings wake up. She heads outside to take care of business, then comes in for breakfast before enjoying some playful time in the yard. After burning off a bit of puppy energy, she happily settles in for a morning nap— often right in her foster mom’s home office, where she keeps quiet company during work calls (sometimes even snoozing in a cozy lap). She enjoys a small mid-day snack and more outdoor time in the afternoon, either playing with her dog friends or simply relaxing outside and taking in the fresh air. Dinner is served around 6:00pm, and by 9:30 or 10:00pm, Treasure is ready to wind down for the night. She sleeps soundly through the night, usually snuggled up on the bed with her foster siblings, perfectly content and cozy. Personality: Smart, Sweet, and Wonderfully Balanced Treasure is truly a delightful mix of playful puppy and affectionate companion. She learns quickly and is eager to please— already mastering “sit,” “shake,” and coming when called at such a young age. She loves toys (any toys will do!) and enjoys romping around the yard, but she also has a calm, thoughtful side. She’s perfectly happy entertaining herself, yet she melts into cuddles when it’s time to relax. She greets her people with a joyful wagging tail but shows lovely manners by keeping all four paws on the floor. At bedtime, her affectionate side shines brightest— she loves to curl up close, often nestling against her foster mom’s neck and drifting off to sleep. During the day, you might find her napping peacefully nearby, content just to be part of the household rhythm. What really sets Treasure apart is her emotional intelligence. When her playful foster sibling wasn’t feeling well one day, Treasure instinctively toned down her play and quietly entertained herself instead. It’s a small moment that perfectly captures her gentle, intuitive nature. Dog-Friendly and Socially Savvy Treasure gets along beautifully with other dogs of all sizes. She plays wonderfully with her 50-pound puppy foster sibling, matching energy and style with ease, and she’s equally respectful of her smaller, older foster brother who can be a bit protective of his toys. Treasure reads social cues well and adjusts her behavior accordingly— an impressive skill for such a young pup. While she hasn’t met cats or children yet, her easygoing temperament, gentle play style, and thoughtful personality suggest she would make a wonderful family dog. Playful Energy with a Snuggly Side Treasure would thrive in a home with access to a yard or outdoor space, as she truly enjoys spending time outside—whether she’s playing, exploring, or simply relaxing in the sunshine. She’s active and curious, but not overly demanding, striking a lovely balance between fun and calm. She also enjoys being held and will politely let you know when she needs a little help, offering a small, sweet yip if she wants assistance— like a lift down from a spot she knows she shouldn’t jump from. At night, she loves to cuddle before drifting off to sleep, making bedtime one of the coziest parts of the day. Training and Good Habits Treasure is making excellent progress with her housetraining. Before her recent spay, she was going outside almost exclusively, and while she’s temporarily relying more on pee pads during recovery, she consistently uses them and sleeps through the night without needing a potty break. She’s also learning appropriate chewing habits as she moves through the teething stage and responds well to gentle redirection. She’s a quiet pup overall—rarely barking and usually communicating with a soft little yip when she needs something. Even when other dogs get excited, Treasure tends to stay calm and composed. Why Treasure Is So Special Treasure is that rare puppy who combines playfulness, sensitivity, and snuggly affection in one perfect package. She’s smart, adaptable, and deeply loving— the kind of dog who quickly becomes part of the heart of the family. Her foster family’s favorite thing about her? It’s the way she curls up close at night, tucked gently against their neck, fast asleep and completely content. Treasure truly is a gem—and she’s ready to make some lucky family feel like they’ve struck gold.
