Charlie Barley is a fun-loving, intelligent Shepherd mix with energy to spare and a big heart to match. At 2 years old, he's in his prime and thrives when he has an outlet for both his physical energy and active mind. This guy needs an active home-think daily walks, play sessions, yard time, and engagement. He's not a couch potato; he's a let's-go-do-something partner who will happily join you for adventures and then settle in once his needs are met. Charlie does great with other dogs and people, including at doggie daycare where he's social and well-adjusted. He also loves kids, but due to his enthusiasm and energy level, he would do best with older, dog-savvy kiddos. He has recently shown some resource guarding behaviors in the home, so he would do best with an adopter who has breed experience and is willing to continue working with him through positive, structured training.
