About Charlie Barley
Charlie Barley is a 2-year-old Shepherd mix with a lot of Mini American Shepherd and German Shepherd in the blend—a real smart, action-oriented partner. In his foster home in New Orleans, he’s shown a zest for life and a level of intelligence you can’t miss. He doesn’t do well left bored: Charlie’s happiest with daily exercise, active play, and clear structure, and he shines in a home that matches his pace. With other dogs, he’s social and well-mannered—doggie daycare and group walks fit him perfectly. He loves kids, but because he’s big and lively, older, dog-savvy children are a better fit. Charlie is fully house trained, not destructive, and trustworthy roaming free indoors. He likes routine and does best when someone is home more often than not—remote workers or active folks would be a solid match. Charlie is neutered, up-to-date on vaccines, heartworm negative, and overall healthy. He’s protective of his people and will bark at unknown visitors. With any intelligent, energetic breed, he benefits from calm leadership and ongoing positive training; he’s started showing some guarding behaviors so breed experience is a strong plus. If you’re looking for a loyal, adventure-ready companion with energy, brains, and affection to spare, Charlie Barley might be the missing piece for your family. Your new best friend is just one click away.
