Meet Maggie – A Gentle Soul Learning to Shine! Maggie is a beautiful 10 month old pittie mix with a stunning brindle coat and the softest, most soulful eyes. At about 45 pounds, she’s a little smaller than her sister—but her heart is just as big. Like her sister, Maggie didn’t have the easiest start to life. Because of that, she’s a bit more shy and sensitive, and the world can feel overwhelming for her right now. But underneath that timid exterior is an incredibly sweet, loving puppy who wants so badly to connect—she just needs a patient person to help her feel safe. Maggie absolutely thrives with other dogs—they are her comfort, her confidence, and her guides. Having a confident canine companion in the home is not just ideal for Maggie—it’s essential. With another dog by her side, you can truly see her personality start to blossom. She is never aggressive, just more reserved until she feels safe! Once Maggie trusts you, she is incredibly loyal and affectionate. She wants to please, wants to be loved, and is learning—step by step—that human connection can be a wonderful thing. She’s doing great with the basics when given structure. She is crate trained and settles nicely at night. She’s doing well with house training on a consistent schedule. She’s pretty fearful on leash and not yet leash trained so she would do best with a fenced in yard. Maggie will need a patient, understanding adopter who will let her go at her own pace and celebrate the small victories along the way.
