Meet Jojo! Jojo is a resilient, affectionate 3-year-old, 44-lb pittie mix who has already proven just how much love and strength can live in one dog. Before coming into rescue, Jojo had a rough start. He was hit by a car and never received veterinary care for his injured back. While he healed on his own, he now walks with a slight sideways sway—just a unique little quirk that makes him Jojo. Later, after a chaotic home situation, he ended up boarded at a veterinary clinic, extremely stressed and heartbroken from being separated from people. That stress caused significant weight loss and at one point, his future was uncertain simply because he needed what he loves most: human connection. Once Jojo landed in foster care, everything changed. Now thriving, Jojo is happy, relaxed, and full of personality. He does great with other dogs, can be trusted out of the crate when left alone, and listens beautifully. He may be on a muscle relaxer to keep him comfortable from his old back injury, but otherwise he’s an easy, low-maintenance guy. Jojo lives for his ball. He loves to play fetch and often carries his ball around like it’s his prized possession. He’s playful, loyal, and deeply devoted to his people. Once he knows he’s safe, he’s all in!
