Mishka has been through quite a journey—after 80 days on the run in the Boise area, she was safely brought in and is now looking for stability and warmth. Her previous owners made the tough but thoughtful decision to let her go, hoping she’d find a place designed for her true needs. Mishka is an Australian Shepherd and Dachshund mix, weighing in at about 28 lbs and just shy of 2 years old. She’s on the shy side at first, but as soon as she settles, she shows deep affection and wants nothing more than to be around her people. She really thrives with other dogs and truly needs a confident canine companion in her next home to boost her trust and comfort. Mishka is fully potty trained, has excellent house manners, and enjoys her freedom indoors—crates are not her thing. She’ll do well with respectful children and simply wants a family willing to give her time, patience, and plenty of love. Cats are still a question mark, but she can be tested. For Mishka, a home with someone often present and a fenced yard are must-haves; she values companionship and the security of being part of a pack. After all she’s survived, Mishka deserves a quiet spot to finally just be a dog. Ready to fall in love? Hit apply and lets get started.
