Tonnie is a 2-year-old Australian Kelpie/Border Collie mix looking for her forever home in Twin Falls, ID, through PAWS Rescue, Inc. She’s sweet-natured and playful, happy romping with other dogs in the yard or entertaining herself with toys. Tonnie is always up for a walk and has a quirky fondness for lapping water straight from the hose. It can take Tonnie some time to warm up to new people, but with patience and understanding, her affectionate side shines through. She’ll nuzzle up for belly rubs, back scratches, and even join you on the couch for some TV time. Treats are a favorite, and she takes them gently. She already knows sit and usually comes when called. Tonnie does very well with other dogs, excels at the dog park, and enjoys group walks. She’s also shown herself to be non-reactive to cats. She’s completely house trained. Tonnie has a mild visual impairment—mostly unnoticeable at home but sometimes means she bumps into things in new environments. It doesn’t slow her down from enjoying outdoor fun or walks. She’s a special dog who continues to blossom and will be a devoted companion for a lucky adopter.
