We recently welcomed her back after she was injured in a fight with another dog. This girl deserves stability, safety, and someone who won’t give up on her. Paddy is a stunning 4-year-old Boxer blend, about 75 pounds of loyal, snuggly love. She’s not a tiny lap dog, but don’t tell her that — she lives for cuddles and being close to her person. Human companionship is her happy place. She has lived with other dogs in the past, but because she can be noise sensitive and may redirect when startled, we are recommending she be the only dog in the home. No cats. House-trained. She truly thrives when she doesn’t have to compete for space or worry about chaos around her. Paddy is crate trained and uses her kennel as a safe haven when she feels overwhelmed. She’ll need a patient home willing to give her about three weeks to properly decompress and adjust. Loud environments and heavy traffic can be overstimulating, so for walks, quieter neighborhoods and walking paths are best. With consistency and gentle conditioning, her confidence around noises will continue to improve. A securely fenced yard is required so she can safely play and stretch those long legs.
