About Bethany
Bethany is a sharp, energetic Australian Shepherd/Border Collie mix who brings brains and heart in equal measure. At 4.5 years old, she’s got the classic herding-dog drive: she soaks up new tricks, loves action, and is happiest when both her mind and body get a workout. She’s sociable, warm with people—including strangers—and easily befriends other dogs of all sizes. Older kids do great with her, and she’s always up for a car ride. In the house, Bethany is fully potty- and crate-trained, with trustworthy indoor manners. She can get vocal when someone comes to the door (occasionally more than needed), so she’ll benefit from ongoing guidance to help manage her barking. She prefers not to be crated for long stretches—she wants in on the daily activity. On leash, she’s learning to rein in her excitement and will need continued training, especially when bikes or skateboards zoom past. Bethany has a dominant personality and does best with a confident, experienced owner who offers structure and consistency. Homes with small animals aren’t a fit due to her instincts. If you want an affectionate, high-spirited companion who brings joy and adventure, Bethany is ready to make your life brighter. Ready to meet your new best friend? Apply now!
