About Junior

Junior is currently fostered in NYC. He is available for adoption throughout the Northeast and transportation can be coordinated to his forever home. Meet Junior! Junior is a tiny bundle of scruffy sweetness who is guaranteed to steal your heart! At just about 3 months old, this adorable Yorkie mix is the definition of a “pocket puppy”—small enough to go just about anywhere, and cute enough to turn heads while doing it. Junior is a happy, affectionate little guy who loves being close to his people. Whether he’s snuggled up in your lap or trotting alongside you, he’s just happy to be part of the action. His soft, scruffy coat and bright, curious eyes make him almost impossibly cute (yes, he gets that a lot!). Like any young puppy, Junior is still learning the ropes. He’s currently working on leash training and potty training, and will thrive in a home that’s ready to guide him with patience, consistency, and lots of love. The good news? He’s smart, eager to please, and at the perfect age to learn! Junior can be a tiny bit vocal when meeting new people or dogs—something pretty common for little pups—but give him just a few minutes and he warms up into his sweet, friendly self. He would do great as your one-and-only spoiled sidekick, but he’d also enjoy having a playful puppy sibling to grow up with. While we believe Junior will stay on the smaller side and likely be under 25 lbs when fully grown, please note that his exact adult size cannot be guaranteed. +++++++ ADOPTION APPLICATION: https://www.stmuttsrescue.com/adoption-application +++++++ The Truth About Rescue: Every rescue pup is a work in progress — and that’s the beauty of it. None of them come wrapped in a bow, ready-made or mistake-free. They come with stories, quirks, and hearts that have seen a lot but still choose to trust again. Adoption isn’t about perfection; it’s about presence. Showing up for them, every day, until they know they’re finally home. That’s when you’ll see them bloom — soft and steady — into the very best version of themselves. And somewhere along the way, you’ll realize they were never the only one being rescued. +++++++ Once we receive your application, our team will review it and reach out to set up an interview with one of our volunteers. If you have any questions, please email SaintMuttsInquiries@gmail.com. Note: As with all of our rescues, we recommend homes with children 10 years and over to ensure the best fit for both pets and families.
