About Nala
Nala is a 5-month-old mixed-breed Shepherd enjoying her time with her Texas foster family. She wins people over with her sweetness and gentle nature, especially around kids—from little ones to young adults. Nala can be a little reserved at first, but once she warms up, she’s playful, affectionate, and eager for attention. She runs with the other dogs (and even a cat) in her foster yard, happy to retrieve balls or chase toys of any kind. Nala navigates a multi-dog household well but could also thrive as a solo dog. She already responds to her name, sits on command, and is learning to give paw. Though still a puppy, crate training and house training are well underway. She will give cues when she needs to go out. Walks are a work in progress—she’s good at staying close by, but she’s still learning not to pull. She listens quickly when redirected. Nala is one of those dogs who just wants to be by your side and loves to roll over for some affection. She’s currently in Texas, but adopters or fosters in New England are needed now.
