Star is a precious senior yorkie/schnauzer mix who arrived alongside her devoted friend, Joy the chiweenie, after their previous owner could no longer care for them. Both dogs are incredibly sweet, showing a strong desire to please and a natural affinity for family life. Star is a true lap baby and delights in giving plenty of affection, ready to shower her new family with love. She is ideally suited for a family seeking gentle and affectionate companions. Star and her friend have proven to be excellent with both children and other animals, making them a wonderful fit for many types of households. With their loving disposition and easygoing personalities, they will easily find their place in your home and your heart. Every animal adopted from the rescue is spayed or neutered, microchipped, and kept up to date on all routine vaccinations, ensuring they are ready to join your family right away. Texarkana Animal League, a 501c3 non-profit, is open on the first three Saturdays of each month from 10 AM to 3 PM.
