AvailableAbout Oreo!
The best 3 adjectives to describe Oreo: Happy Friendly Servile (eager to please) Oreo spent more than 3 months living in a small cage at Bullitt County Animal Services (BCAS), getting out just a few mins daily by volunteers for pee breaks. Recently BCAS was one dog cage away from full occupancy, which means there was going to be nowhere to put incoming dogs... unless some of the current dog population left, one way or the other. Seeing that message posted by BCAS on social media is what moved me to 'pull' a dog, this dog. He's done great in foster care with us, and is ready for a home of his own. Hopefully this pet adoption post will inspire you to reach out about Oreo as BCAS's rescue-call-to-action inspired me to pull him. Oreo is fine with cats, dogs, and slightly frightened by our lovebird. He's good with our 12 year old son, house-trained, and he is not a barker. Since he was lacking attention for several months he loves to be near humans. He will stay right at your side as you go about your chores, although he will grow out of this as he comes to learn 'he won't be abandoned again.' -Oreo had arrived at BCAS as a stray someone picked up back in December. This is a happy, friendly, loving dog. Since he's only about a year old he still needs some basic reminders about not jumping up when you get home, but only once or twice a day (literally) does he try to 'put his paws where they don't belong.' Oreo could even live in an apartment successfully since he just wants to be with his human. That being said, he's fine with sitting outside on the porch on his own for a few mins at a time, but he'd rather be inside by you if given the choice. -All dogs need a daily walk, Oreo is no exception. He'd do well with a gentle leader or easy walker harness system. To schedule a phone chat and/or meet with Oreo, to hopefully adopt him, please text first Fabricio 786-393-3555 or Jessica 502-309-4155. Fully vaccinated, no heartworm, bathed, neutered, UTD on preventative, chipped- adoption fee $150 requested if possible, but can be reduced based on adopter and necesity. Thank You, Jessica
