Zoey is a gentle, sweet-natured girl who’s coming out of her shell after a tough start. She was pulled off the streets as a puppy and missed out on some early socialization, so the world still feels new and a little intimidating. Warm and eager to learn, Zoey is making progress in the Paws Behind Bars training program. She’s house trained, working on obedience, and becoming more confident with help from her handler. Her favorite moments come in the play yard, racing around with other dogs and showing sparks of her easygoing, fun personality. Zoey does well alongside other dogs and enjoys being around children too, so she’ll fit into a lot of households. Having another dog in the home could help her settle in, but it’s not essential. About 20 months old and around 40 pounds, Zoey is ready for a backyard, sunshine, and a family she can trust. She’d love the chance to relax and blossom in a comfortable home.
