About Zoey Paws Behind
Click apply and let the tail-wagging begin! Zoey is an incredibly sweet-tempered girl searching for the perfect family to help her shine. After being taken off the streets as a puppy, she hasn't had the benefit of proper socialization, so new experiences can make her a bit hesitant as she explores the world step by step. Now safe at Blue Ridge Animal Rescue and Sanctuary, Zoey has received her vetting and is enrolled in the Paws Behind Bars Prison Training Program. While the environment can be overwhelming, she is bravely working through her training, including house manners, social skills, and obedience. She has especially bonded with her handler and is learning loose leash walking and basic commands. Her favorite spot is the play yard, where she relaxes and blossoms while romping with other dogs. Though another canine companion at home would boost her confidence, it isnβt required. Zoey is about 20 months old and a perfect medium size at around 40 pounds, ready to spend springtime enjoying her very own backyard. Zoey is eager for a loving family to call her ownβare you ready to help her take the next step on her journey? They are waiting with paws crossed! Apply now!
